Westchester Lawyer Named President Of National Association Of Property Tax Attorneys

A Westchester lawyer has been elected as the president of the National Association of Property Tax Attorneys (NAPTA).

David C. Wilkes co-founded the national tax attorney association and has 14 years of leadership experience. He’s also the owner and founder of Wilkes Law Group in Tarrytown, which specializes in boutique real property litigation.

Wilkes is a former chair of the Appraisal Foundation, which helps to set national appraisal standards and qualification requirements. He is a former chair of the American Bar Association Property Tax Committee and served as editor-in-chief of the monthly publication known as the New York State Bar Association Journal.

NAPTA is considered to be the leading organization of property tax attorneys within the U.S. and Canada. According to the website, the goal of the association is to “increase awareness and understanding in this specialized area of law through education and uniting selectively chosen professional tax specialists who have been recognized as among the best in their jurisdictions.”
